Necati Anaz

Necati Anaz is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. Anaz has previously worked at the Turkish National Police Academy in Ankara and Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya. His current research interests include the geopolitics of security, soft power, popular geopolitics, diaspora electoral geography, and Middle Eastern geopolitics. He continues to publish his work in international and national academic journals. Anaz also shares his opinions on current geopolitical developments in popular media and newspapers. He is the (co)author of the books Diaspora Representation System, Diaspora Electoral Geography, and The Western Media’s Perception of the Middle East (in Turkish).
