Born in Ankara, Öztürk Aykaç received her bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Middle East Technical University in 2008. She completed her master's degree at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University with a thesis on “The Concept of Honor and the Female Body as a Problem of Sociology of the Body” (2012). Öztürk Aykaç, who completed her doctorate education at Selçuk University, Department of Sociology in 2018, is the owner of the doctoral thesis titled “Ankaraalı as a Social Type”. In 2009, he started working as a Research Assistant at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Department of Sociology and has been continuing his academic studies as an Assistant Professor in the same department since 2019. Her areas of specialization and research interests include urban sociology, sociology of culture, sociology of the body, media and communication studies, qualitative research methodology.
